Handmade Charoite Earrings
Deep purple charoite beads in a
faceted twist rectangle shape are
bedecked with Thai Hill Tribe flower
charms and turquoise and Bali Sterling
beads.
Charoite is found only in the Charo
River Valley in Yakutst, part of
Siberian Russia. It's structure is so
complex that scientists don't know
how it is formed.
Charoite is said to increase self esteem
and the ability to love.
The earrings are 2 and 1/2 inches long from
the top of the ear wire.
Thai Hill Tribe Silver has a very high
silver content
(97-99%)
and is
handcrafted
by silversmiths in the hills of Northern Thailand
using
traditional tribal methods passed down
from generation to generation.
Even the tools
used to make the jewelry are handmade.
