Pearls have been valued for thousands of years in China, ancient Rome,
and
by the Native Americans among many other cultures. In ancient Rome only
royalty was allowed to wear pearls.
Pearls are the only gemstones
to come from within a living organism.
Freshwater pearls are found (usually farmed) in certain breeds of
mussels.
Pearls symbolize innocence and a pure heart. They stimulate femininity,
self
acceptance and help develop wisdom.
Bali silver is handcrafted by silversmiths in Indonesia and is usually
very detailed and intricate. The silver content is the same as Sterling
(92.5%) or higher.
