Handmade Lapis Earrings
Charming ovals of fine quality dark blue
lapis lazuli dusted with sparkly pyrite
dangle from antiqued flowery posts.
The earrings are just over 1 inch long from
he top of the post.
Lapis has been used since at least the
ancient Egyptian
and Mesopotamian
cultures. It is said to open the third
eye and assist meditation. On
the physical level lapis is said to alleviate irritation,
anxiety and
fatigue. It is mined in
Afghanistan, Russia, Siberia and the Andes.
