Turquoise and Spirals
Handmade Turquoise Earrings
Hand rounded Mohave County (AZ)
turquoise and Thai Hill Tribe silver spiral
beads create earrings with an exotic touch.
Because these beads are very close to
their natural state and are hand cut, there
is a primitive feel to them. If you look
closely at the top picture you can see
that some stones are a little more
green and some a little more blue.
The earrings are 2 5/8 inches long from
the top of the ear wire.
(The pictures have been somewhat enlarged
to show detail.)
Turquoise is considered sacred in the
Native American and oriental
cultures.
It is protective and grounding. Turquoise
is
considered
the master healing stone.
There are references to its use through
antiquity in cultures as diverse as Egypt,
Tibet, and in the Native American culture.
It
is indeed a very special stone.
The spiral is a symbol used by man throughout
time. Among other
meanings the spiral symbolizes
our inner and outer journey to God and
the Self.
Some Native American tribes used the spiral as
a symbol of a
broadening of consciousness, the
destination arrived after a long
journey.
Thai Hill Tribe Silver has a very high
