Handmade obsidian necklace
A mahogany obsidian pendant and
a large flowered Thai Hill Tribe Silver bead of almost pure silver are
suspended from Greek
leather. A flowered Thai Hill Tribe silver slider bead
adjusts the length of the necklace.
Obsidian
is a naturally
occuring volcanic glass. It is mineral like, but not a mineral because
it is not crystalline. It is very protective and guards
against
negativity.
The obsidian pendant is just over 1-1/2 inch in diameter. The
necklace is 40 inches long, and the slider bead adjusts the necklace to
any desired length.
This makes the necklace versatile and ideal for layering with other
necklaces.
Thai Hill Tribe Silver has a very high
silver content
(97-99%)
and is
handcrafted by silversmiths in the
hills of Northern Thailand
using
traditional tribal methods passed
down from generation to
generation.
Because of the high silver content it is considered to be fine silver.
