Handmade Owyhee Jasper necklace
This necklace holds an excellent specimen of beautiful Wildhorse
(Owyhee) picture jasper. A strand of wonderful faceted desert landscape
picture jasper
rounds,
small leopardskin jasper rounds, and tiny amazonite round beads
surrounded by flat Bali beads. Thai Hill tribe silver charms hang below
the picture jasper. A wire wrapped extender chain including round
leopardskin jasper and flat Bali beads. Bali silver clasp.
The necklace is 16 inches long. Extender chain 3 inches. The
pendant with charms is 3 inches long.
Wildhorse (Owyhee) picture jasper is mined in eastern Oregon and Idaho.
It has been described as a natural wonder that depicts the varied
beauty of the earth around it.
Bali silver is handcrafted by silversmiths in Indonesia and is usually
very detailed and intricate. The silver content is the same as
sterling,
(92.5%) or higher.
Thai Hill Tribe Silver has a very high silver content
(97-99%)
and is
handcrafted by silversmiths in the hills of Northern Thailand using
traditional tribal methods passed down from generation to generation.
