Handmade Kingman turquoise
pendant necklace
A Kingman turquoise nugget, lapis briolette and a large freshwater
pearl are combined with a carnelian and a rhodonite garnet and
handcrafted sterling silver beads. The lapis is wrapped with Sterling
silver wire. Sterling twisted loops, oxydized chain and lobster clasp.
Small lapis beads are near the clasp.
The Kingman turquoise nugget is 3/4 inch long and drops 1 3/8 inch
below the chain.
The necklace is 19 1/2 inches long.
Kingman mines turquoise is highly regarded, top shelf turquoise.
Turquoise is considered sacred in the Native American and oriental
cultures. It is protective and grounding. Turquoise is
considered the master healing stone.
Lapis has been used since at least the
ancient Egyptian and Mesopotamian
cultures. On the physical level lapis is said to
alleviate irritation, anxiety and fatigue. It is mined in Afghanistan,
Russia, Siberia and the Andes.
Pearls symbolize innocence and a pure heart. They stimulate femininity,
self acceptance and integrity, and help develop wisdom.
