Rainforest jasper rhyolite beads are knotted to make a long boho style necklace and hold a rustic cathedral pewter pendant. It is a great necklace by itself or for layering with other necklaces for boho chic.

I have to confess that I have a thing about rainforest jasper rhyolite. It was love at first sight a long time ago. I guess it's because it reminds me of sweet green grass and trees at their peak. The gorgeous gold, yellow and white patterns are so wonderful against the deep cool green. Its hard for me to pass up this gemstone when it crosses my path.

Rainforest jasper is a type of rhyolite or igneous rock that is the product of volcanic activity. It's found only in Queensland Australia. It is thought to help one connect with the earth and the environment.

The beads are a combination of 8mm (5/8 inch) rainforest jasper beads, and various smaller (6mm = 1/4 inch) gemstone beads. The smaller gemstone beads include rainforest jasper, deep red facetted garnet beads, silvery pyrite beads and cappuccino colored fossel agate.

The rustic pewter cathedral pendant is a masterpiece from the metal smiths at Inviciti. It is famed by tendrils of garnet roundelles and sterling silver beads.

The necklace is 33 inches long, the pendant is 2 3/8 inches long and drops 2 1/2 inches from the strand.
