Handmade Moscovite Heart Earrings

A Pure Heart

These long dangly earrings are different enough to be surely noticed, but not so different that you can't wear them anywhere. Heart shaped muscovite and sweet freshwater pearls make these earrings wonderful for Valentine's Day, or any day.

Muscovite is the most common mineral of the mica family. Like other forms of mica it forms as thin transparent sheets. The color of the muscovite gemstones is determined by the minerals present in the gemstone. These gemstones aren't pink, but are more like pink in bronze or rose bronze. The pictures were taken in varying lighting situations. 

Pearls are symbolic of feminity and a pure heart. These pearls are round with a smooth surface and lots of luster.

The earrings are 3 inches long. The hearts are each 1/2 inch wide.

By the way, a fun fact about mica is it was once used as window panes.
