These earrings are made with nuggets of gorgeous and rare green Fox turquoise, Thai Hill Tribe silver flower charms and sterling silver.

The Fox turquoise mine is located in Lander County, Nevada. The color of Fox turquoise ranges from aqua blue to green. Its very hard turquoise and is of excellent quality, which is why it is considered one of the best varieties of American turquoise. At one time the Fox mine was the largest turquoise producer in Nevada. Although the mine is often spoken of as an active mine, it is listed as being closed.

Green Fox turquoise is quite rare and there isn't a lot of it around. Most Fox turquoise is held by collectors. These nuggets are indeed as green as they're pictured. 

Thai Hill Tribe silver is fine silver, with a silver content up to 99.9%. (Sterling silver is 92.5%.) Thai silver is made using tools and methods that have been handed down from one generation to the next. Because of the high silver content it tends to not tarnish.

The ear wires are sterling silver. The earrings are 2 1/8 inches long.
