The knotted moonstone beads are in subtle shades of gray, white and peach. The warm, gentle chatoyance (shimmer) of moonstone is what makes it so sweet and undeniably special. Moonstone is formed in layers which cause a phase shift so that as the light shines through the layers, a shimmering effect is made. Moonstone was first found in the Alps, but it is found in mountains and hills all over the world. It is believed that one's connection to the devine feminine is enhanced by wearing moonstone.

Mother-of-pearl is made from the lining of mollusks. It has the same chemical composition as pearls and the properties are believed to be the same. It has a beautiful shimmering appearance. As the light strikes different aspects of the gems they have a gentle "flash" reminiscent of labradorite and other chatoyant gems.

Carnelian is said to be a gemstone of power and drive. It's found in many places around the world, the best carnelian is said to come from India.
